Another red carpet event with tons of fabulous gowns, hair styles, makeup looks, manicures and more to be a guide for brides. And below are products listed that a few celebrity makeup artists used so you to can copy their look!

Makeup Artist Pati Dubroff created a glowing look for Theron using Dior products (also sold at Sephora) and below is a breakdown as to what she used…

Manicurist Karen Gutierez gave Zoe a glossy pink/rose manicure that even reflected off of the photographers lights. And makeup artist Vera Steimberg was inspired by Zoe’s French chic silhouette style gown by using soft shades for a natural & feminine look. And here’s a breakdown as to the Chanel products (also sold at Saks 5th Ave. or Nordstrom) and below is a breakdown as to what they both used…

Makeup Artist Jo Strettell used products from Selma’s makeup line called “Nuance” Selma Hayek (currently sold at CVS) and below is a breakdown as to what she used…

It’s truly award season, don’t you love it?! Time to gasp in how lovely everyone looks as we ponder as to what they had to endure to look so perfect. Well it all begins by having an amazing “glam squad” (a trainer, stylist, makeup artist, hair stylist, manicurist and designer) all to incorporate one look to fit their clients style all for one event, an award show. There’s much planning involved as you can image and of course brides mimic the same. Below were a few red carpet favorites from last night that were categorized by their lip color (click on each image to enlarge):
Whose look did you love the most? And of course which would you love to have on your wedding day?
GRAMMY’S FLASHBACK/THROWBACK: Adele in 2012 on the red carpet, OMG didn’t she look absolutely stunning? And her red-bottom (Christian Louboutin inspired) nails were all the rage last year… then again they still are!

The best way to look wedding day gorgeous is by of course getting a spray tan! Envy Tan in Oakley have three special offers but the one that you’ll love the most is their $10 special. Yes you read it correctly ten bucks, but it only applies to those visiting their tanning salon for the first time. A service regularly priced at $29.99.

Envy has three levels of UV tanning, the UV-free VersaSpa Spray Tan. This is for the Oakley location only, located at 4820 Ridge Rd. Call 513-351-3689 and ask for Audra. For those of you who stopped by my “mock photo shoot on-location” booth at Veils & Cocktails held at The Madison last month you wold have met Audra then as well.
Envy uses brands such as Designer Skin, Australian Gold and CaliforniaTan. So for the perfect wedding spray tan contact them today!
Simple Tanning Tips:
1. Shave.
2. Exfoliate at least two times per week starting several months before your wedding day using an oil-based exfoliant to get rid of dead skin cells that may prevent your wedding day tan from looking even and fresh.
3. When your skin is healthy and hydrated it holds a fake tan longer and better, so moisturize every day after your shower (avoid lotions that contain alcohol or anti-aging ingredients), as they tend to dry out the skin. But on the day of your spray tan, make sure you do not apply any lotion, makeup or deodorant beforehand.
4. Avoid bathing and/or workouts for 24 hours.

Bridal fashions change season-to-season, year-to-year. And last week I had the liberty to be the makeup artist on set for a “Wedding Trends Fashion” segment on Living Dayton. A lifestyle show that airs daily in Dayton, Ohio on channel 2 at noon. ((click the image above to view the video from the show))

The show entailed Wedding Market & Ohio Weddings Julie Albaugh and Lindsey Fork from La Jeune Mariee Bridal Boutique in Columbus, Ohio discussing two of this seasons highly sought after gowns by designers (seen above from left to right) Lea Ann Belter and Jim Hjelm of JLM Couture.

Each models makeup was coordinated to fit the nature of her gowns style. One TreeAnn her gown was actually a blush tone, so the theme for her look was “Pretty In Pink“. A look full of pink tones with luminous & glowing skin, a gray smokey eye, with mauve & super glossy pink lips. Below are a few products used to obtain TreeAnn’s look.

Amanda modeled an open-back lace gown with champagne charmeuse underneath, so the theme for her look was “Vintage Flair“. So of course a matte blue/red lip fit perfectly, with a full on 3D cat-eye with bronzy contoured eyes & cheeks. Below are a few products used to obtain Amanda’s look.

For more behind-the-scenes photos feel free to view them on facebook. Majority of all products used had light-reflecting properties in them and were applied on certain areas of their faces so that it would be seen on television & photography for luminous & glowing skin. Products used can be purchased at Macy’s, Sephora, Target, Walgreens and QVC.

2012 was such an amazing year, and to have had a NYE wedding was like icing on the cake! On Dec. 31, 2012 Danielle & Chris had an intimate wedding with a guest list of 150!

As you can see Danielle’s makeup is all about the eyes and to add a bit more fun & excitement, Danielle and all of her bridesmaids (which are also her sisters) had some form of subtle glitter on their eyes. I know your gasping like GLITTER, for a wedding?! And usually the answer is N-O, but for New Year’s Eve, why not! Now that’s glitz & glam for you.

Their wedding took place at The Madison in Covington, KY and Jennifer Rump-Gaskins of Jenny G. Photography did a fabulous job at capturing some stunning images. I truly felt like family only because one of Danielle’s sisters works at Fabulous Furs, in which we all know is one of my many clients for many years.

Some things are only meant to be shared on facebook don’t you agree?! Check out the Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry page and “like” what you see.
I’m so proud to announce that Chenese Bean Makeup Artistry now sells Artistry Cosmetics! A brand created by Amway. Wow now just hearing that name takes me back from when my grandmother used to purchase their cleaning products in the early 80′s. And look how far they’ve come. After hearing & learning so much about Artistry from a former bride, I took the risk to give it a try leading me to later put it to the test on various jobs like photo shoots (corporate, commercial & editorial), video shoots, brides, friends and a few family members. Well after all that I finally felt satisfied enough to sell it.
I later discovered that Artistry is the proud sponsor of the Miss America pageants. And discovered the great comparisons with their skin care line to well known department store brands, and it’s truly worth the money. Click here if you’re ready to shop my custom Artistry by Amway site.
From their skincare all the way down to their wide variety of foundations, it’s truly a hidden gem. Artistry is also famously known for their light up lip glosses (each tube has two small built in LED lights along with a mirror on the side). Lip gloss is always a woman’s #1 go to product and now you won’t even need to visit the ladies room to do it, and for my party girls… you can even apply it at night!
The glosses come in five different sheer shades: Passion (auburn), Champagne (nude) , Glitz (pink), Confetti (almost clear with a hint of pink) and Glamour (burgundy/maroon). These are not full coverage (high intensity color) glosses, however Passion and Glamour are quite close.

My mother (Dr. Sara Black) once said to me “Would you believe that the one thing that you always got whooping’s for as a kid [playing in makeup] would be beneficial to you later in life?” …LOL!!! Well a few weeks ago I felt like that little girl again overly excited to play in makeup. Where I not only did my mother’s makeup but took the photos as well. Not bad for a digital camera huh?
The two corner photos is her BEFORE & AFTER!

What a truly fun evening this was, and teaching her a few modeling poses & techniques made it more exciting. Posing may look easy but it’s not. It blew my mind how easy it was for me to get into photographer mode (mentally), I guess from hanging around so many some things rubbed off. To bad I don’t have a professional camera.
I wish she’d a let me share her age with you, only because that would really blow your mind, at the fact that a woman her age can be so gorgeous. Oh and before I forget… the very top photo is a snapshot of the huge box of bling that she brought, funny how we’re so much alike!!

Just in case you haven’t heard (via facebook) a few weeks ago I had the awesome opportunity to work with two gorgeous and familiar faces on TV… Ariane Davis and Mimi Faust from VH1′s “Love & Hip Hop” (Atlanta).

Ariane loves a dark lip, and to pull it off I first used MAC Cosmetics lip pencil in “Vino” by lining her lips first and then colored them in entirely. Followed by NYX Cosmetics mega shine gloss in “Maroon” (both seen below).

On Mimi I opted out in giving her a dark lip color only because she had an extremely bold smokey eye using various shades of blues and blacks followed up with killer false lashes.

Mimi’s nude pink lip was creating by using Stila Cosmetics long wear liquid lip color in “Petal” followed up with Mally Beauty high shine liquid lipstick in “Mally’s Baby” to soften the color.

Feel free to visit facebook for more photos. To view my portfolio to see my non-bridal work click here. I would also like to give Cherise Beasley with White Diamond Image Consulting a special shout out and she’s Ariane’s hair stylist.
